Obama Care to the Rescue? (Premiums up, HRC Margin Down)

by C. Edmund Wright on October 26, 2016

In 2014, the Republican establishment found the religion of running against Obama Care — finally — in the last two weeks of the campaign. That strategy moved every close race into the Republican column and the Democrats were dealt a big blow in 2014.

If only there had been a candidate who could oppose Obama Care (Cruz during Obama Care filibuster)

So even an establishment that is incapable of running effectively against Obama Care was successful in doing so, because Obama Care is so bad, so corrupt, so frankly — well, evil — that it can be used by even the most incompetent Republicans.

Concerning which, Obama Care’s premium shock (really, no shock at all), is actually helping Donald Trump tighten the polls. This, in spite of the fact that Trump is a blithering idiot on Obama Care, cannot put three coherent thoughts together about why it failed, and just keeps spouting off his Tourette’s type “lines around the states, lines around the states” talking point.

Trump can't explain why Obama Care is awful any more than he can tame his hair.

True, not allowing competition across state lines is a factor, but it’s a tiny factor — a rounding error really — in the problems with Obama Care. But Trump can’t comprehend that.

It’s helping him nonetheless….and he couldn’t tell you who Jonathon Gruber is with ten guesses….
