UPDATE: Trump obviously did not lose, yet the following analysis is still valid.
A campaign can be compared to a football game, in that you can score or give up points during the entire process, and points scored in the first quarter count exactly the same as points scored in the final seconds.
If Donald Trump loses this campaign, it’s because of points he gave away for months. And make not mistake, HE and HE ALONE gave these points away.
Because, there is simply no one who made Donald do the following:
Go on about Lee Harvey Oswald over a period of two months.
Attack Kzir Khan, three days in a row.
Threaten Super PACS against his own party the day after he accepted the nomination.
Mock a disabled reporter (he did, but even if you insist he didn’t, as Ann Coulter does, even she admits it was merely…”the standard retard” impersonation.
Support ethanol subsidies, and claim anyone opposed to this establishment scam as in the pocket of big oil.
Call Antonin Scalia a racist, in agreement with MSM.
Support Mitch McConnell in 2014 against Conservative challenger Matt Bevin.
Sing the praises of Scottish and Canadian government run health care.
Call Republicans against universal government care mean spirited – while claiming that people are dying in the streets.
Say he didn’t NEED, or EVEN WANT, support from Republicans who were not on it immediately: (whatever happened to generating support, cultivating support).
Fail to prepare, and thus fall apart in the first debate.
Insult Carly Fiorina’s face.
Brag about the size of his manhood in a debate.
Refuse internal opposition research and vetting of himself by his team.
Hire smug, insider toughs Roger Stone, Corey Lewandowski, etc.
Praise Vladimir Putin while remaining ignorant of Putin’s devastating robbery of the entire nation of Russia.
Threaten Apple, Carrier and Ford like a mafia don.
Wait very late to start talking Obama Care, regulations,
Be all over the place on immigration, touch back, bad hombres and the rest later, call Mitt too extreme –
Go full socialist on trade and entitlements.
Insult Republicans while courting Bernie voter (like that was every going to work)
Spend more time attacking Republicans than Democrats.
Virtually ignore the weaponized IRS.
